DETAILS

  • 5-star hotel
  • Bellagio Beach Resort & Spa (Hurghada, Egypt)
  • Address: Ahyaa Road، Hurghada Red Sea, Red Sea Governorate 84599
  • Website
  • Dates: from 13th to 20th Ctober 2025
  • Price: €940 (€922 + €18 bus transfer), single occupancy.
  • I wouldn’t return to the hotel, mainly because of the sewage pipes located next to it. The hotel should also focus on improving staff training and upgrading the quality of the food. Overall, I got value for my money….it was worth it.

Corendon

I was craving a week of sunshine, and by mid-October there are really only two destinations that guarantee it — Egypt and the Canary Islands. After comparing both, I decided to go for Egypt. Corendon offered some of the best deals for a one-week escape to Egypt at that time of year, so the choice was easy.

Positive Points

  • The all-inclusive package was affordable, costing less than €1,000.
  • In the evenings, there’s a pleasant fruit bar.
  • I received a complimentary room upgrade with a small terrace and a jacuzzi view.
  • The hotel offers a 24/7 cookie bar, though the cookies weren’t particularly impressive.
  • The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, just a 30-minute transfer.

Negative Points

  • The sauna and hammam were not included in the package, and massages cost €80.
  • Overall, the service was disappointing and did not match a 5-star standard. Staff appeared poorly trained: they often call guests “my friend,” touch them (e.g., holding their arm), interrupt conversations, use the same public toilets as guests, and some don’t wash their hands afterward. They speak loudly and sometimes aggressively, and a few seemed rude and focused on tips.
  • The food was underwhelming.
  • The swimming pool needs renovation, and the water was dirty.
  • Large sewage pipes are located near the hotel beach, discharging into the sea.( See the video of the Pier next to the beach).
  • There were major construction works taking place at the hotel, which were not mentioned on the Corendon website.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

My departure flight was on October 13th. The flight from Brussels to Hurghada with Corendon Airlines took 4 hours and 50 minutes. The onboard service was below expectations: the plane was somewhat worn, and the seats were uncomfortable.

The transfer from Hurghada airport to Bellagio Beach Resort & Spa took 30 minutes. It cost €18, which was definitely worth it.

I had to check out at 12:00 on October 20th, but my pick-up was only at 18:00. This allowed me to enjoy the last day by the pool and use the spa to shower before heading to the airport.

All Inclusive

The sauna and spa were not included in the package, and the alcoholic drinks were not from original brands.

  • Dates: from 13th to 20th Ctober 2025
  • Price: €940 (€922 + €18 bus transfer), single occupancy room.

Weather

We enjoyed fantastic weather, with daytime temperatures ranging between 28 and 30°C. The climate in Hurghada in October is truly pleasant — it felt like a perfect summer.

Food

The food buffet did not meet 5-star standards. The salad bar, warm dishes, and dessert selection were disappointing, although I was told this is common in many Egyptian hotels.

The Corendon package included two visits to the à la carte restaurants, but I didn’t use them. There were several à la carte options available on-site.

WIFI

The Wi-Fi worked well at the start of my stay but experienced interruptions when more guests checked in.

ROOMS

The room was modest, featuring a small terrace overlooking the swimming pool. It included a fridge stocked with soft drinks. The room was cleaned daily, and they provided bottled water, as it’s necessary to brush your teeth with bottled water.

Room service was provided by ‘Egyptian’ men, and there was a noticeable difference compared to when women handle it. Egyptian male staff seemed less attentive to hygiene and germ prevention. The room was made up and the towels were refreshed every day. The room service did an effort.

The air conditioning in the room was working very well.

THE BEACH

The beach is decent but nothing exceptional. There’s a bar by the shore and a pool with slides.

The deckchairs are modern and clean, and the towel service is included in the package, allowing you to get a fresh beach towel every day.

The water is very shallow, and you need to walk about 150 meters to reach a depth suitable for swimming, which many guests found frustrating.

Alternatively, you can access the sea via a pier. There are two in total: the hotel’s own pier, which is abandoned and unusable, and a second one located just outside the hotel premises. To reach the second pier, you need to walk about 20 meters beyond the hotel. The pier is quite long, taking around two minutes to reach the end — and along the way, you can see the sewage pipes running beside it.

FOOD and BUFFET RESTAURANT

The food was a disappointment.
