DESRIPTION
Hotel Le Plaza is a five-star luxury hotel in Brussels, Belgium. Opened in 1930, it was built in the Art Deco style and adorned with elegant Louis XVI interiors. Today, it stands as one of the city’s oldest and last remaining independent hotels.
The property features 190 rooms and 14 spacious suites, offering both comfort and grandeur. Over the years, it has welcomed distinguished statesmen, celebrated artists, and world-renowned entertainers, cementing its reputation as a landmark of sophistication and culture.
REMARKS
POSITIVE
- Large rooms
- Guest rooms at Hotel Le Plaza combine include a flat-screen TV, a minibar and air conditioning. They also include a large work desk and an en-suite bathroom, some with a bathtub.
NEGATIVE
- The Le Plaza Hotel is situated near Brussels North Station, a part of the city often considered less desirable. Like Paris, Brussels has some neighborhoods that can feel a bit rough around the edges—something less common in countries such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, or the Nordic nations.
- During my stay, I found the reception staff somewhat inexperienced. A simple request to post a letter seemed to cause hesitation, and only after some insistence was it taken care of. While the task was eventually completed, the service did not reflect the five-star standard one might expect
- The rooms could be refurbished
